Sports Massage Team

Chele Fuller (Chair, China) I am excited to accept the nomination of Sports Team Chair and to work a alongside fellow AMTA members as we reinvent the Maine Sports team. I come to this position with extensive experience in the sports realm as both a coach and athlete. In addition to my massage practice I currently work as a coach at GEvolution Fitness and I am a yoga teacher at Downtown Yoga and Healing arts located in Augusta. My credentials include:

Sports Team Report:

We had a great turnout for our January Sports Massage Team meeting! Over 20 LMTs gathered, both returning members and new.  After going over changes for 2016, eating our delicious potluck lunch, Kate Anagnostis provided training on Event Massage. What a way to start off the season!

Interested in joining the team? Any member of the ME Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association can become a member of the ME Sports Massage Team. Becoming a member is simple: fill out a membership application and participate in two team sponsored events per year. Each therapist must have completed 14 hours of Sports Massage training, 6 hours classroom time and 8 hours of clinical or event work. Additionally, all members must show a current ME License and hold liability insurance.
