AMTA is happy to announce that 95.1% of Professional Members voting in the AMTA National Board Election approved the slate of new board directors to take office on March 1, 2022. The elected board members will be Christine Bailor-Goodlander (NY), Jaime Bernardo, Jr. (DC), Richard Greely (OH), Jane Horton Johnson (GA), and Lee Stang (NC). They will join five continuing Board Directors – Cindy Farrar (GA), Patricia (Patty) Phillips (WA), Bob Jantsch (PA), Kimberly Kane-Santos (PA), and LaDonna Ward (AL) for FY 2022-23.
On March 1, 2022, President-Elect Michaele Colizza (RI) will become AMTA President and current President, Steve Albertson (IL), will continue on the Board as Immediate-Past President.
The Board of Directors sets the direction for AMTA and its commitment to advancing the profession. The slate process and election allow the association to best ensure that board members have the skills and knowledge to direct AMTA as it continues its rapid growth, and have the choice ratified by the membership.
“Our members are what make AMTA the most trusted and respected name in massage therapy,” said AMTA President Steve Albertson. “I want to thank our members for their involvement with AMTA, their ongoing commitment and for the election of our Board. Together, we can continue moving the profession forward.”
